For $20 you can't go wrong with this one. It feels pretty light and is made of plastic but I'm not planning on throwing this thing around. It is very easy to use. I am not a mechanic by trade... If I were, I might want a fancier version, however, this little scanner seems to do everything that the much more expensive ones do for a very, very low price. The only thing that the more expensive ones MIGHT do is actually display the text for the error. I used this Code scanner to troubleshoot at check engine light on our spare Honda Accord. The car had 220,000 miles on it, and I didn't want to spend a pile of money to have the issue diagnosed and fixed. I came across this code reader in my Amazon research and was surprised at the low price! Plugged it in and diagnosed the problem! My cousin came over and took it so decided to order one more again yesterday and it has already shipped.
I would recommend this tool to any home mechanic, as it really does the job for troubleshooting Check Engine Lights.
